Skin Cycling is all the rage at the moment but the concept is actually really simple. It takes the guesswork out of when to apply Retinol, when to exfoliate and when to take a rest! It’s an easy to follow 4-day cycle that promotes skin health and prevents irritation from over-exfoliating or using too many actives at once.
Night one is all about chemical exfoliation for smoother, glowing skin that’s perfectly prepped for night two. Night two is when you apply Retinol which supports collagen production and cell turnover, resulting in the visible reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, improved texture and brighter skin. Night three and four is when you rest and recover with Hyaluronic Acid and other skin-barrier loving ingredients.

Night 1: After cleansing, apply 1-2 pumps of Clarifying Booster Overnight Resurfacing Peel. Wait a couple of minutes and then apply ThemGenes Daily Resculpting Serum. You can keep things light and easy and stop here - or apply your favourite moisturiser.
Night 2: After cleansing, apply 1-2 pumps of Renewing Booster Advanced Retinol Serum. Wait a couple of minutes and then apply ThemGenes. You can keep things light and easy and stop here - or apply your favourite moisturiser.
Night 3 and Night 4: After cleansing apply Hydrating Booster Hyaluronic Acid Serum. Wait a couple of minutes and then apply ThemGenes. You can keep things light and easy and stop here - or apply your favourite moisturiser and/or face oils.
Night 5: Start the cycle all over again!
Please note: It’s important to use Clarifying Booster and Renewing Booster on different nights - AHAs and Retinols can be too harsh to use together. Only use Renewing Booster and Clarifying Booster at night and always wear sunscreen the next day. If you’re sensitive to Retinol or have dry skin, it’s a good idea to patch test first.
